Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is currently recruiting for Firefighters.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are recruiting for Trainee Wholetime Firefighters to join our Recruit Courses in 2021.


We are looking for people with the right skills and values who are just as passionate as we are in working to make the communities of Merseyside safer and stronger.

The role: 


Hours: 42 hours per week (48 hours over 8 days) with 42 hours of retained cover per week also.


Trainee Salary: £23, 833 per annum 


Upon successful completion of the Recruit Training course and subsequent development within the role, salary will increase to £31, 767 per annum with an additional 10% for providing retained cover.

Interviews:  w/c 15th March 2021


Commencement date:  May and September 2021
