At Our Lady and St. Philomena's Catholic Primary School, we believe it’s essential to listen to our pupils and value their opinions. The voice of every child plays a key role in shaping our school and curriculum. We strive to provide all our pupils with numerous opportunities to share their thoughts and contribute to decisions that impact their learning and wellbeing.
We are committed to ensuring that every voice is heard. To do this, we offer a variety of ways for our pupils to share their views and ideas. We regularly use questionnaires and engage in class discussions on important issues, but we also provide a range of lunchtime and after-school activities that help children build confidence, work together, and develop leadership and teamwork skills. These include roles such as Student Councillors, Eco-Warriors, Curriculum Ambassadors, RE Leads and other elected representatives from each class who meet regularly to discuss key topics.
All of our representatives serve as positive role models for other children, demonstrating exceptional behaviour, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
