During this half-term we will continue to learn to play the Eukele in music, the children are very good at recognising rhythm and are begining to play simple chords. They really are a talented bunch! On Tuesday afternoon the children have been working with 'Military School' and this will also continue up to Christmas. The children have mastered working in teams to solve problems and I am delighted to say we have some budding leaders for the future.
Homework - this will be handed out each Friday. Please ensure your child completes their homework and hands it in by Tuesday the following week.
Reading Books- we have given out reading books and encourage the children to bring them to school each day in their book wallet. The book wallet is also useful for keeping homework sheets tidy.
PE- this half term we will do PE on Monday and also need our kits for Tuesday afternoons when we work with the 'Military School'. The children need the correct PE kit to take part in the lessons. White t-shirts and blue shorts must be worn with black pumps for indoor PE and training shoes for outside PE. Children should keep their PE kit in school everyday just in case we have to change the timetable to fit round special events.
Please do come and speak to me if you need any further information. I look forward to sharing all the wonderful work your children do as we go through the year. Please read our topic web for this half-term. We have changed some of our curriculum areas around and already the children have shown a great interest in our new topics.
Best wishes
Mrs Buckton
