Welcome to Miss Doyle's class!

 

Here in our mixed year 3/4 class, we have already been very busy and there is a lot of hard work to come.

What have we been up to?

22/6/17 - Today we had a visit from RNLI who were teaching us about safety when visiting the seaside. See below for photos.

 

15/6/17 - Well done to the children who are in the choir who went to sing in the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral today.

 

26/5/17 - Enjoy your two weeks off school :) 

 

10/5/17 - Today we visited Willmott Homes and went on a walk around our local area. We found lots of changes that are happening in our local area for our geography topic.

 

27/4/17 - What a lovely surprise! Today we started learning to play the drums.

 

24/4/17 - Our swimming lessons started today, we can't wait to get back in the pool!

 

6/4/17 - What a brilliant performance in Church today! Well done to Year 3, 4 and 5.

 

5/4/17 - Well done to everyone who joined in the Easter Bonnet parade, you all made a fantastic effort.

 

29/3/17 - We hope all parents enjoyed the Easter Craft Afternoon! 

 

15/3/17 - Thank you to Willmott Homes who came in to visit us today. They were talking about how they use maths in their jobs. The children were given a budget and they had to decide on the doors, windows and fencing they would choose for their house. We are learning more and more about how maths comes in to everything that we do. 

 

9/3/17 - Well done to Harry and Adrian who attended an Enabling Enterprise competition today in Royal Sun Alliance, with children from Year 5. You were great at the problem solving and team work and represented our school very well. 

 

7/3/17 - Today we've started trumpet lessons. We can't wait to continue learning!

 

2/3/17 - What a brilliant World Book Day! Thank you to everyone for making such an effort with costumes and well done to anyone who entered the extreme reading competitions. 

 

16/2/17 - UK Military School pass out parade (see photos below). Well done to Mickie Jo for best recruit and Millie Lea, Lewis and Adrian for strongest in the class. A massive thank you to UK Military School for a brilliant experience, we have learnt so much. 

 

9/2/17 - Today in UK Military school we've learnt about all the bones in the body. We also did an army fitness test.

 

2/2/17 - In UK Military school today we learnt about camouflage. We even got to paint our faces! (see pictures below).

 

28/1/17 - Peace Proms in Echo Arena. Well done to Ella, Sharna, Taylor, Lilia, Ashleigh and Mickie-Jo for taking part. I (Miss Doyle) had a fantastic day! Thanks to Mrs Alexander for organising. 

 

27/1/17 - Healthy living sports with LSSP. Can you remember how often you should be exercising?

 

26/1/17 - Today we learnt how to make a fire in UK Military School. We now know that we need fuel, oxygen and ignition for a fire to light.

 

20/1/17 - Well done to Lilymay who won the spelling bee competition for LKS2!

 

19/1/17 - What  a brilliant afternoon with UK Military School! We were learning how to make dens and got very muddy. Most importantly, we were great at working together in teams. 

 

13/1/17 - We were this weeks attendance winners! KEEP IT UP!!

 

12/1/17 - Today we were lucky to be chosen to start UK Military School. We loved our first session and can't wait till next week! Remember your old clothes next Thursday because we'll be going outside whatever the weather.

 

11/11/16 - Thank you and well done to Hasna and Alisha for their wonderful Indian dancing in assembly.

8/11/16 - Today we went to see Hasna and Alisha's mum. We all got some henna and tasted some delicious Indian food. 

 

7/11/16 - India week.

 

4/11/16 - We are this weeks attendance winners! Well done smiley

 

2/11/16 - Today we went to Frankie and Benny's because we won attendance. Fransisco said, "We had so much fun and the pizza was so good, I put all of the toppings on!"

 

21/10/16 - ATTENDANCE WINNERS FOR THIS HALF TERM!!!!

Well done to all the children of year 3/4! Our trip to Frankie and Benny's will be arranged. 

 

21/10/16 - Today we performed our Harvest Festival assembly. Well done to everyone for doing such a great job! We raised a lot of money for CAFOD and collected lots of food for our local community. 

 

18/10/16 - Ancient Greek Day. We all had a fabulous day learning lots more about the Ancient Greeks. Pictures to follow. 

 

7/10/16 - Today all of the children ran a mile for Macmillan Cancer. Well done everyone who raised sponsorship money!

 

30/09/16 - Macmillan coffee morning. Thank you everyone for your generous donations.

 

16/09/16 - Class Sounds assembly was great fun today! Would you like to learn how to play a musical instrument?

Maths and English homework goes out on a Friday and is to be returned to school by the following Tuesday. Any problems, let me know as soon as possible and I can go over it.
 
PE kits are to be brought to school every Monday and taken home on a Friday. Our PE days are Thursday and Friday, however on occasions, this may change.
 
Remember to read every night at home. Who is going to be the first to reach the top of our Reading Rocket? Every time you've completed 5 home reading books and had your record signed, you'll move up a space!
