Welcome to Year 5's class page

On this page we will be adding details about all the exciting things that Year 5 get up to...

In English we are learning to write persuasive texts.
Our class book is Oranges in No Man's Land by Elizabeth Laird.
In Maths we are learning about Geometry (shapes and angles).
Our History topic is entitled, "What was it like living through the Liverpool Blitz?"
In Come and See the children are learning about Lent.
Our Science topic is about Earth and Space.
PE lessons are on Monday (please ensure that you bring your full kit).

Homework

Spellings are given on Monday and due back on Friday for our spelling test.

Maths is given on Monday and due back on Friday.

Reading is given on Monday and due back the following Monday.

The optional homework this half term is to research any links your family has to World War 2.
